U.S. Ambassador Gillian Milovanovic visited e-BIZ Center ModEur
 On November 15, 2006, U.S. Ambassador Gillian Milovanovic visited the e-BIZ Shoe Technology Center ModEur in Kumanovo. The Ambassador Millovanovic had the possibility to see the demonstration of the CAD/CAM services offered by the Shoe Technology Center and understand the value that these services provide for the Macedonian footwear companies. ModEur is located in the premises of ex CIK factory, now renamed into Regia. (more)
In less than two years, Regia has grown into modern footwear complex providing work for around 1,200 people in 25 small factories. The short tour of the Regia was also part of the Ambassador’s visit to Kumanovo. During the tour, Ambassador Milovanovic had the possibility to see the development and progress of this footware complex and ModEur’s role in attracting more foreign business and bringing world famous brands in Macedonia. ModEur with its state of the art technology and Regia complex as a whole have provided significant impact on the overall Macedonian show industry, in particular for the economic development of Kumanovo. While touring, the Ambassador visited Bomasa, shoe factory for sewing and assembling and Hat production factory.
Following the tour, the Ambasasador gave a statement and expressed her positive impressions and congratulated on the successful partnership between the Macedonian and Amreican people. |
