CIRKO MES CE celebrated its first anniversary and presented the unique 3D digitalization services
The Center for Mechanical Engineering CIRKO MES CE, funded by USAID, e-BIZ project and the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, celebrated its first anniversary of successful operations on the 24th of January 2007, 11:30, in the Faculty venues, new building, 3rd floor.
The event was opened by HE the Ambassador Gillian Milovanovic, ambassador of the USA in the Republic of Macedonia. Also, HE the ambassador of Republic of Slovenia in Macedonia Mr. Shiftar as well as the Dean of the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering Mr. Milan Kosevski addressed the guests. Apart from members of the private business sector, attendees of the event were also representatives of the government.
Since August 2006, CIRKO MES CE has been offering 3D digitalization services using the ATOS II system.
Up to date this system, i.e. the 3D Camera ATOS, has successfully created various project tasks, scanning of archeological and items of cultural importance to Macedonia, scans in the field of dentistry, as well as the biggest task – scanning and designing a recreation aircraft for Airnet Production – RITS from Celje, Slovenia.
This Center was established to apply various possibilities and approaches to help SMEs in Macedonia, i.e. tool and die companies which work on construction of various types of tools. Using high technologies CIRKO MES CE provides services to the SMEs which are rarely found in the region of South Eastern Europe. |
